Fire Instructor

InsideHigherEd is seeking a qualified Fire Instructor to join our team. As a Fire Instructor, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, delivering, and evaluating lesson plans in the fire field, including Firefighter I & II classes.

• Develop and deliver high-quality course content to achieve course objectives and meet student learning outcomes.
• Engage students and provide prompt feedback in an objective, respectful, and effective manner.
• Communicate and follow course syllabus content in accordance with directions provided and administrative guidance.
• Collaborate with the College's support services to identify and address students' academic support needs.
• Utilize College technology for the delivery of instruction and completion of operational processes.
• Meet deadlines and maintain accurate class records, employee records, and other assigned tasks.
• Ensure laboratories are appropriately stocked with required supplies and equipment is in safe operating order.
• Foster a positive, student-centered, and professional environment among students, faculty, and staff.

• Certification as a Fire Service Instructor with at least one year of experience.
• Knowledge of Fire courses.
