Job Description:

At American Welding & Gas, we are seeking a Class A Delivery Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics group, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers by ensuring timely and safe delivery of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a tractor-trailer truck to deliver cylinders and/or bulk materials to customers and internal branches.
  • Perform inventory control functions to ensure accurate tracking and management of products.
  • Load and unload trucks to efficiently manage delivery routes.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized working environment to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Ensure vehicles are properly placarded and labeled to meet industry standards.
  • Adhere to compliance with CGMP, Hazmat, OSHA, DOT, and other regulatory agencies to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Prepare, complete, and maintain accurate paperwork to support delivery operations.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of vehicles to ensure a safe and efficient delivery process.
  • Manage electronic trip logs to track delivery routes and optimize logistics.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
  • Achieve delivery objectives set forth by management to ensure timely and efficient service to customers.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • CDL Class A license with Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brakes endorsements.
  • Pass a DOT pre-employment drug-screen and physical, and company-administered road test.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Clean driving record with at least 3 years of experience.
  • Ability to lift pounds as required by the job.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using computers to manage delivery operations.
  • Excellent customer service skills to provide exceptional service to customers.
