Job Summary:

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care, working under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN). Your primary responsibility will be to provide personalized care and support to patients, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Personal Care and Hygiene: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Preparation and Support: Prepare patients, equipment, and supplies for medical procedures and examinations, ensuring everything is in order for a smooth and efficient process.
  • Clinical Activities: Perform, monitor, report, and document clinical activities within your scope of practice, including observing and reporting changes in patient condition to the RN.
  • Admissions, Transfers, and Discharges: Assist nursing staff with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring a seamless transition and maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Work Environment and Safety: Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to hospital safety standards, infection prevention, and regulatory requirements.
  • Quality Assurance and Improvement: Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives, as well as your own professional development and growth opportunities.
  • Cultural Sensitivity and Competence: Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and competence by using effective communication tools and materials, understanding the impact of cultural differences on patient care and collaboration.
Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant program (or military medical specialty training).
  • Six months related work experience preferred.
  • Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant by the Washington State Nursing Commission.
  • Current healthcare provider American Heart Association Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
