About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team in Category Management - Patient Support Solutions, Logistics & Distribution. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for promoting the utilization of the NNI Procurement Methodology through Category Management and Strategic Sourcing activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the acquisition of high-quality goods/services at the best possible prices by negotiating and monitoring contracts and relationships with selected suppliers.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements and seek agreement through consensus management.
  • Collaborate and dialogue with users on system support and understanding.
  • Communicate to Line of Business approved suppliers per category.
  • Conduct spend analysis and relevant analytical tasks to support and justify sourcing direction and related activity.
  • Develop and prepare summary reports and presentations as required.
  • Seek out, build and maintain trusting and collaborative relationships and alliances with others inside and outside of the organization in ways that accomplish key business objectives.
  • Support the Novo Nordisk Supplier Diversity program and promote the inclusion of diverse suppliers in all sourcing initiatives.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree required; Relevant experience may be substituted for degree, when appropriate; advanced degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing and/or Purchasing, including at least 3 years' experience sourcing and/or managing indirect spend categories, and/or managing eSourcing events.
  • Sourcing category/group experience in one or more of the following preferred: Patient Support Solutions, Logistics & Distribution.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience helpful, but not required.
  • Ability to exert influence on the overall objectives and goals of the department.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively, complete work in a timely manner and work well with others.
  • Demonstrated analytical, organizational, communication, presentation, relationship management and people skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to act as project lead in the development and implementation of projects, processes and programs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Market Intelligence Tools, Coupa or other eSourcing and contracts management systems.
  • Self-starter with a proven track record of delivering value and savings through strong collaboration with business stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of Strategic Sourcing Methodologies, Processes and Purchasing practices.
