Diesel Technician Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at Hendrick Automotive Group. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and electronic systems, troubleshooting engine and transmission problems, and performing all necessary maintenance on Chrysler/MOPAR vehicles as well as a variety of makes and models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine customer vehicles to identify necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Estimate the cost of repairs and communicate with customers.
  • Perform vehicle repairs and maintenance efficiently and according to dealership guidelines.
  • Document services performed and maintain accurate records.
  • Request necessary parts and effectively utilize available technologies to enhance customer experience.
  • Maintain CSI at or above Company standards and ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Participate in required training and maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
  • Follow dealership and manufacturer service guidelines, as well as Company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Thorough knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
  • Demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge.
  • Technical training or commensurate technical experience required.
  • Valid Driver's License and certification as a senior technician with respective manufacturer.
  • State inspection/emissions license required by State.
  • Meets and/or exceeds manufacturer requirements for ASE tests.
