Eventide Senior Living Communities is seeking a skilled Culinary Cook to join our team. As a Culinary Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our residents.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes and techniques.
- Use accurate portion control standards to ensure quality and consistency.
- Maintain sanitary conditions in the kitchen at all times.
- Verify menus daily to ensure all necessary items are prepared as needed.
- Store leftovers properly according to food handling standards.
- Operate equipment in a correct, safe, sanitary, and respectful manner.
- Supervise the dining experience to ensure resident satisfaction.
- Check temperatures of food products and document in temperature log.
- Clean equipment and work area to ensure safety and sanitation standards are met.
- Inventories and orders food products to ensure adequate inventory.
- Oversee catering events to ensure quality, safety, and presentation.
- Organize and plan work schedule to meet serving meal times.
- Prioritize and shift workload in the event of staff shortages.
- Prompt and direct servers to deliver timely meal service.
- Interact with staff to correct or accommodate immediate concerns or problems.
- Accept and ensure all vendor deliveries are put away in the proper storage areas.
**Requirements:**
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in food service or culinary arts preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a clean and safe kitchen.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
