NYC Health + Hospitals is seeking a highly skilled Senior Psychiatrist to lead our mental health team in a correctional setting. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing clinical oversight, training, and mentorship to our psychiatric staff.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement clinical workflows, policies, and quality metrics for mental health services
- Recruit, train, and supervise psychiatric staff to ensure high-quality care
- Collaborate with other disciplines to design and implement clinical procedures and policies
- Provide direct clinical supervision and mentorship to psychiatric staff
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in psychiatric care
- Completion of a 4-year psychiatric residency training program
- Active certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry
- At least two years of post-residency experience working with individuals with mental illness in a correctional setting
- Excellent diagnostic and treatment skills, with particular attention to issues of psychopharmacology and safe medication administration
- Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills
