About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Architect to join our Aviation Studio in Dallas, TX. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing airports and aviation-related facilities throughout the US and abroad.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out complex assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures, independently applying advanced architectural concepts and designs.
  • Participate on major projects or several projects of moderate scope with complex features, serving as a team expert.
  • Provide professional architectural consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of large complex projects.
  • Meet with clients to determine objectives and requirements for structures, preparing structure specifications, scaled drawings, and proposals.
  • Own finished plans, specifications, and approval of materials and construction, reviewing and approving scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
  • Review junior staff's work for technical accuracy and provide technical guidance to other professionals and technicians, leading a discipline team or small multidisciplinary teams to complete projects.
  • Perform quality control reviews and ensure achievement of key milestones, performing field reviews, inspections, and observations of ongoing construction projects to ensure projects adhere to architectural plans.
  • Maintain professional registration and licensure by ensuring conformance with professional, ethical, educational, and discipline practice requirements, remaining knowledgeable of state and local building codes, zoning laws, fire regulations, and other ordinances.
  • May supervise direct reports, including hiring, coaching, performance reviews, development conversations, and productivity management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's of Architecture degree from an accredited university.
  • 7+ years or more in design experience, including working on parts of a major project or multiple moderate-sized projects and proven experience providing technical guidance to entry/junior-level staff and reviewing others' work for technical accuracy.
  • Registered Architect in good standing, NCARB certification is a plus or the ability to obtain architectural registration in multiple states is desired.
  • Demonstrated collaboration with multi-discipline design teams.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Strong architectural design and construction document development capabilities.
  • Demonstrated Revit BIM production capability and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project management experience.
  • LEED Accredited Professional.
  • Visualization and graphics capabilities (Photoshop or others).
