Overview

As a Property Leasing Specialist, you play a crucial role in fostering a vibrant community by connecting individuals with their ideal apartment homes. Your expertise in sales and relationship-building is essential as you guide prospective residents through their journey, ensuring they feel valued and understood.

Your Role

In collaboration with a dedicated property management team, you will deliver outstanding service to both current and prospective residents. Each day presents new challenges that require you to be adaptable, organized, and proactive. Your ability to listen attentively will help you identify the needs of potential residents, allowing you to recommend suitable solutions and facilitate a smooth leasing process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with potential residents through various communication channels, including phone calls and in-person meetings.
  • Showcase the community by conducting property tours and effectively communicating the advantages of residing in an Equity Residential apartment.
  • Oversee the leasing process, assisting new residents with each step, and ensuring all lease applications are accurately completed and processed.
  • Maintain precise records of prospective and current residents, along with financial transactions related to rent and inventory.
  • Facilitate transactions such as rent collection and move-in/move-out inspections.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to address and resolve any apartment-related issues.
  • Organize engaging community events that foster a sense of belonging among residents.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in computer applications, including word processing and calendar management.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of college coursework or degree.
  • Previous experience in leasing, sales, or customer service sectors.
