Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nursing Supervisor to join our team at Omaha Children's Hospital. As a Clinical Nursing Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the daily clinical operational activities of the unit, ensuring the delivery of quality patient care, and supervising nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise the daily clinical operational activities of the unit, ensuring quality patient care is delivered efficiently.
  • Supervise nursing staff, including recruitment, hiring, merit recommendations, promotions, transfers, schedules, disciplinary action, performance evaluation, and development.
  • Maintain an environment of trust, fairness, consistency, and confidentiality with team members and internal and external customers.
  • Support the delivery of quality patient care by holding staff accountable to established patient care and regulatory standards.
  • Interpret policies and procedures to nursing staff and patients/families.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, including 1 year of pediatric nursing experience.
  • Previous supervisory or lead experience is preferred.
  • Current and valid Nebraska RN license or RN Compact license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 180 days.
