Job Description

Join the Southeast Conservation Corps as a Boundary Marking Crew Member and contribute to the preservation of our nation's lands. As a member of our crew, you will be responsible for maintaining the exterior boundary lines of the US Forest Service, ensuring the accuracy of mineral lease applications, and collecting field data related to leasing and maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the exterior boundary lines of the US Forest Service to FS boundary line marking standards
  • Update corner cards (manually and/or electronically) to ensure accuracy of all mineral lease applications
  • Collect field data related to leasing and maintenance activities (manually and/or electronically)
  • Participate in other surveying and mapping land boundary activities as needed

Work Environment:

As a member of our crew, you will work in frontcountry and backcountry locations, traversing challenging terrain and working in all weather conditions. You will be camping and serving in various locations across the Southeast Region, with schedules varying between 9 days on and 5 days off.
