Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop new products and processes.
  • Conduct contract reviews to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
  • Propose alternative material requirements to improve product quality and reduce costs.
  • Understand heat treatment behaviors of high-temperature alloys and define qualification stock.
  • Layout process methods in MRP/MES systems, preferably JobBoss.
  • Design fixtures and tooling using solid works/AUTOCAD.
  • Review configuration stage drawings, including pre-out stage.
  • Understand tighter tolerance requirements and plan methods accordingly.
  • Provide input for complex and high-value RFQs and review before submittal.
  • Closely monitor contract reviews to finalize processes and create master templates.
  • Review NCMR/MRB on a daily basis to work on root causes and provide preventive and corrective action.
  • Address supplier and customer technical queries and liaison with in-house drawing interpretation for quality and production personnel conflicts.

Quantitative Measurable Goals:

  • Responsible for NPD development within targeted lead time and quoted lead time with less number of iterations.
  • At least 2 process improvements per month.
  • Less than 2 engineering errors per month.
  • More than 95% 1st yield passes.

Qualitative Benefits:

  • Best practices on CAM programming to avoid multiple iterations.
  • Perform effective PFMEA to meet tight tolerances and made accountable for 1st yield passes.
