We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Underwriter to join our Private Equity Vertical team. Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a profitable book of business through effective marketing and underwriting strategies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with agents and brokers to facilitate the marketing of products
- Manage a complex book of business by analyzing the portfolio, identifying areas of opportunity for growth, and executing marketing plans to increase market share
- Document files in a way that reflects a solid thought process and decision-making through comprehensive account reviews, sign-offs, and referrals
- Formally guide, mentor, and coach underwriters and account analysts in both technical and professional skills
- Degree in Business or equivalent typically required
- A minimum of 7 years of progressive underwriting experience and/or other related business experience
- CPCU or professional insurance designation preferred
- Proven analytical ability to evaluate and judge underwriting risks within scope of responsibility
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex analyses and information in understandable written and/or oral directives to other persons in the organization
