Job Title: Assistant Baker

The Nothing Bundt Cakes Assistant Baker plays a vital role in ensuring the highest quality cakes are consistently created for our guests. This position partners with the Baker to meet production demands and contribute to superior service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follows proprietary recipes and production methods with precision to achieve productivity goals.
  • Effectively utilizes measuring instruments, commercial-grade mixers and ovens, and other tools to bake cakes.
  • Assists the Baker with accurately preparing raw ingredients and equipment for baking, placing cake pans in the oven, and monitoring the baking process.
  • Assists with daily baking and production flow, and processes.
  • Adheres to proper packaging, labeling, and storage of baked cakes, as well as product rotation standards, and maintains baking and refrigeration logs.
  • Cleans, sanitizes, and restocks the workstation, and assists the Baker to ensure all baking supplies are prepared for the next shift.
  • Complies with all health and safety guidelines and Nothing Bundt Cakes policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene.

Requirements:
  • Ability to understand written and oral directions, interpret instructional documents, and apply knowledge to perform job responsibilities.
  • Understanding of basic units of measurement used in the U.S.
  • Ability to perform repetitious, physical tasks that require strength to lift items of moderate to heavyweight (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to operate commercial-grade ovens and other bakery equipment and work adjacent to a high-heat source.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with strict adherence to health and safety practices and work environment standards.
  • Diligence, organization, and self-motivation, with the ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
Work Availability:

Must have the flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and holidays, based on changing business demands.
