Compliance Risk Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Risk Specialist to join our team at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. As a key member of our Supervision and Credit (S+C) group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the compliance of large financial institutions with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead large-scale supervisory activities, including monitoring, exams, and special projects, to evaluate the compliance risks of complex institutions.
  • Develop and execute supervisory strategies for the oversight of significant and emerging compliance risks.
  • Contribute to the preparation of supervisory plans for risk-based supervision.
  • Lead ongoing monitoring reviews and assessments of remediation efforts for supervisory issues and compliance failures.
  • Communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely to management and partners through supervisory products and key meetings.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field.
  • Seven or more years of direct supervisory or comparable experience in financial institution legal and/or compliance departments, compliance consultancy, auditing, or bank examination.
  • Active examiner commission from a federal or state banking supervisory agency or relevant experience and training for entry into the Interim Examiner Commissioning Program for Large Financial Institution Supervision.
  • Demonstrated understanding of relevant laws and regulations and strong knowledge of compliance risk management programs at large banking organizations.
