Job Overview

Logistics Production Specialist – Split Shift

Hours/Wage:

  • Work schedule is from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional mandatory weekend overtime. Initial training will take place in the morning from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM for a minimum of one week. Starting wage is $15.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory by stocking and retrieving items as needed.
  • Utilize computer systems for daily Bill of Lading updates in Excel.
  • Process and prioritize completed orders, ensuring that boxed shipments align with customer specifications, product details, and shipping methods.
  • Secure packages using a zip machine to maintain appropriate shipping dimensions and handle special packing requirements.
  • Prepare and organize shipment orders according to logistics vendor guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service to resolve any order discrepancies or missing shipment details.
  • Work with Production to address any missed orders in the shipping queue that are not located in the shipping area.
  • Conduct safety inspections of shipping equipment and maintain 5S standards at workstations and throughout the warehouse.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to identify colors accurately.
  • Physical capability to perform demanding tasks, including standing, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds consistently throughout the shift.
  • Proficiency in reading a tape measure along with strong math, reading, and writing skills.
  • Previous experience in shipping and familiarity with MS Excel is preferred.
  • Experience working with distributors or knowledge of the graphic arts or sign industry is advantageous.
