Our focus is on initiatives that seamlessly integrate Sentry into our users' workflows, providing actionable insights to resolve code issues efficiently. We are seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to enhance our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and sustain features and integrations with other SaaS platforms utilizing React (TypeScript) and Django (Python) within our open-source codebase.
  • Engage in high-impact projects that span the entire technology stack, including understanding the event ingestion pipeline, exploring search and storage systems, and presenting that data to our users through both backend and frontend codebases.
  • Implement testing protocols for your code to uphold high standards of code quality and elevate engineering practices at Sentry.
  • Establish monitoring and alerting systems to ensure application reliability and performance.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers.

  • A desire to gain deeper insights beyond the application layer, understanding the systems and services that power the APIs in use.
  • Able to prioritize tasks autonomously, balancing the introduction of new features with the maintenance of existing functionalities.
  • Exhibits a strong sense of ownership over the results of their work and expects the same from colleagues.
  • Willing to engage with other teams' codebases to resolve issues, making effective and maintainable changes.
  • Enjoys making incremental improvements to tools that lead to significant time savings for our customers.
  • Aims to be a catalyst for change in developer tooling, recognizing themselves as the target user for Sentry and wanting to influence product development.
Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in developing user-facing web applications and APIs.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in React/TypeScript (or similar frameworks and languages).
  • Experience with Django/Python (or similar frameworks and languages).
