The Cardiovascular Ultrasound Technologist plays a crucial role in the diagnostic imaging of patients' hearts. Utilizing advanced technology, these professionals produce detailed 2-D and 3-D images through high-frequency sound waves.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive cardiac ultrasound assessments, including stress echocardiograms.
- Operate a variety of ultrasound systems, including those from leading manufacturers such as GE, Siemens, and Philips.
- Execute electrocardiograms and manage holter monitoring procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians and fellow sonographers to ensure optimal patient care.
Work Schedule
- Standard working hours are 8-hour shifts from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
- On-call duties are required, typically ranging from 1 to 2 weeks per month.
