Join Our Team as a Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Wexford Health Sources, Inc. Our organization is committed to providing high-quality healthcare services to justice-involved patients, and we believe that our team members are the key to our success.

About the Role

The LPN will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Under the clinical guidance of Registered Nurses, the LPN will direct and guide patient teaching activities commensurate with education and demonstrated competencies.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the assessment of the physical, psychological, and social dimensions of patients in the healthcare unit and, as necessary, in the housing units.
  • Assist in planning and implementing individual treatment programs, in the healthcare unit and housing unit, by utilizing available resources and consulting with registered nurses, physicians, and correctional officers.
  • Implement medical plans through administering medications and interventions in accordance with provider instructions.
  • Document nursing encounters, patient response, effectiveness, complications, etc., and communicate information to supervisory personnel and physicians, in accordance with provider orders.
Requirements
  • Current, unrestricted New Mexico Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) License.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience; correctional experience preferred.
