Job Title: Hospital Liaison

The Hospital Liaison will play a crucial role in facilitating patient discharge by interacting with hospital case managers to deliver and set up necessary equipment. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to provide education on insurance criteria and documentation requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Stock vehicles daily with necessary equipment, disposables, and paperwork.
  • Make daily rounds to contact case managers at assigned facilities to inform them of your presence.
  • Communicate with the center throughout the day to schedule SR for home setup of equipment.
  • Understand and communicate coverage criteria to case managers and patients as applicable.
  • Complete setup paperwork daily for all equipment delivered.
  • Assist with obtaining CMNs and chart notes as requested by the center.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential for interacting with patients, physicians, and hospital staff.
  • Gain knowledge of basic Medicare coverage guidelines and documentation requirements.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Perform mathematical calculations and interpret data.
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One to three months of related experience and/or training.
Physical Demands:

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
