Job Summary

The Premier Health team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Athletic Training Specialist to join our clinical support staff. As an Athletic Training Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing general clinical and procedural patient care under the direction and direct supervision of our physicians or practice manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical support to patients, including vital sign collection, medication administration, and wound care.
  • Assist with procedural patient care, including preparing patients for procedures and providing post-procedure care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of HIPAA law and ensure compliance in all aspects of patient care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from an accredited program.
  • Certification by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification and Licensure, or license eligible as an Athletic Trainer in the State of Ohio.
  • Prior experience in ambulatory healthcare facilities is preferred.
  • Ability to learn related center tasks and be of assistance to management and physicians.
  • Self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and customer service standards.
  • CPR certification within the first 3 months of employment.
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
  • Familiarity with the EPIC EMR is strongly preferred.
