About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Transmission Utility Forester to join our team at Eocene Environmental Group, Inc. As a key member of our utility vegetation management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of power to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contact property owners and public agencies to coordinate pruning and removals of trees and brush
  • Conduct thorough tree and brush inventories to identify potential hazards
  • Evaluate and inspect trees for hazards and develop plans for mitigation
  • Manage data and ensure accurate record-keeping
  • Ensure a safe working environment for employees and the public
  • Enforce on-the-job safety practices and protocols
  • Operate equipment and vehicles safely and efficiently
Requirements
  • Degree in forestry or related field, or equivalent experience in utility line clearance
  • Strong species identification skills and knowledge of invasive species
  • Ability to obtain ISA Arborist Certification within 12 months
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and data collection software
