Position Overview:

We are looking for two Service Technicians to support our operations, initially working in the workshop with the potential for field assignments. This position entails diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electric and internal combustion forklifts, as well as other warehouse machinery.

We supply the essential mechanical tools, training, and resources, including a mobile phone, tablet, and vehicle for field service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair electric forklifts, including both AC and DC motors (single-phase and three-phase).
  • Diagnose and repair internal combustion (IC) forklifts, including engine rebuilds.
  • Conduct hydraulic diagnostics, replace hydraulic components, and interpret hydraulic schematics.
  • Perform brake maintenance on IC units.
  • Execute welding and fabrication tasks as necessary.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams for electrical repairs.
  • Maintain precise records of repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and company protocols.

Essential Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in the forklift sector or a related mechanical field (consideration for less experience on a case-by-case basis).
  • Strong understanding of electric forklifts and internal combustion engines.
  • Expertise in diagnosing hydraulic problems and executing repairs.
  • Experience with AC/DC electric motors, including single-phase and three-phase systems.
  • Ability to read and comprehend wiring and hydraulic diagrams.
  • Familiarity with engine repair and rebuilds on IC engines.
  • Welding or fabrication certification or over 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of brands such as Crowne, Toyota, Naman Hobbs, and Raymond is advantageous.
  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Recent graduates or those about to graduate from UTI are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Welding or fabrication certification.
  • Experience with major forklift brands like Crowne, Toyota, Naman Hobbs, and Raymond.

Compensation:

  • $28/hour for candidates with 2 years of experience.
  • $30-$33/hour for candidates with 3 years of experience.
  • Negotiable rates for candidates with more than 3 years of experience, subject to performance review.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM
  • 1-hour unpaid lunch break
  • Two paid breaks
