Job Summary

Total Warehouse Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on various models of forklifts and material handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Repair Equipment: Diagnose and repair complex issues with forklifts and other material handling equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Perform Planned Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance tasks on customer equipment, including inspections, lubrications, and adjustments, to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Operate Service Van Safely: Drive company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
  • Train and Mentor Colleagues: Assist in the training and development of junior technicians, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance team performance.
  • Follow Safety Procedures: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Order Replacement Parts: Accurately identify and procure necessary replacement parts, minimizing delays and ensuring timely completion of repairs.
  • Test and Inspect Equipment: Verify repairs are completed correctly and equipment is functioning properly, ensuring customer satisfaction and safety.
Requirements
  • Excellent Mechanical Skills: Possess strong mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose complex issues.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Computer Diagnostic Skills: Proficient in using computer diagnostic equipment and software to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds, with good vision and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required.
  • 3-5 Years of Mechanical Experience: Prior experience in lift truck repair, automotive, or related industry preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License: Required, with a good driving record and ability to safely operate company vehicles.
