Job Summary:
The Charge Nurse role at Texas Health Resources is a critical position that requires a skilled and experienced nurse leader to oversee the daily operations of the Emergency Department. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, managing staff, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Manage the daily operations of the Emergency Department, including staffing, patient flow, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient safety and quality of care.
- Participate in shared governance and decision-making processes to advance the profession of nursing.
Requirements:
- RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire is required.
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Upon Hire is required.
- CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days is required.
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days is required.
- NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days is required.
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support 90 Days is required or ENPC - Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course 6 Months is required.
- TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course 12 Months is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 Years Experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting.
- Bachelor's Degree Nursing is preferred.
