Mammography Technologist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Luminis Health. As a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for performing screening and diagnostic mammographic procedures in accordance with established ACR and FDA safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Acquire high-quality mammographic images while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Verify demographic and technical information, obtain required patient information, and check the technical quality of films.
  • Complete procedures within established time frames while maintaining quality of work.
  • Assess patients' conditions during biopsy procedures, administer first aid as required, and assist physicians in performing the biopsy procedure.
  • Provide radiation protection to all patients in compliance with prescribed safety standards.
  • Perform necessary quality assurance testing on Mammography equipment and maintain appropriate records.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to recommend changes, report problems, and provide feedback to improve patient care, technical quality, and clerical functions.
  • Monitor supplies in assigned work areas and notify supervisors when shortages occur.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Universal Manager/Epic processes.
Requirements:
  • Successful completion of a two-year radiological technology program in an AMA-approved educational institution.
  • Mammography registry required.
  • Current Registry in specific Imaging Modality (ARRT or ARDMS).
  • Licensed in the State of Maryland.
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS.
