Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist - Soliant Healthcare

Job Summary:

Soliant Healthcare is seeking a skilled and dedicated School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive speech and language services to students. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Intervention: Conduct thorough assessments to identify students' needs and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) to address their speech and language impairments.
  • Direct Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy services to students, including individual and group sessions, to help them overcome communication challenges.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' communication goals and integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with developments in the field of speech-language pathology and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Current Connecticut State License in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 1+ years of experience working with school-aged children and familiarity with the IEP process.
  • Skills: Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practices in speech-language therapy, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team in a school setting.
