Job Summary:

As a Quality Inspector 2nd Shift at SKF, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products. Your responsibilities will include performing visual inspections, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of inspection stations, and reporting inspection results clearly and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform visual inspections at various magnifications using magnifiers and microscopes
  • Assure applicable inspection equipment is in calibration before use
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of inspection stations
  • Report inspection results clearly and accurately
  • Identify and segregate nonconforming product and initiate Discrepancy Reports
  • Comply with stamp control procedures and assure lot and sample traceability
  • Read new and revised specifications when mandated

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in manufacturing process
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Sitting for 5-7 hours a day
  • Walking, pushing, carrying or lifting up to max. 50 lbs occasionally
  • Standing generally
  • No visual color deficiency
