The Service Manager plays a crucial role in driving the overall performance of our service center, focusing on both financial and operational excellence. This position is tasked with establishing superior guest services, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring optimal sales and profitability through effective expense management, human resource oversight, and operational cost control.
COMPENSATION: $100,000-$140,000, inclusive of salary and performance bonuses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guarantee that every customer receives exemplary service by ensuring the management team upholds store standards, possesses solid product knowledge, conducts follow-ups, meets time commitments, and addresses all aspects of guest service. Manage escalated customer concerns effectively.
- Set clear expectations and maintain regular communication with staff regarding job roles, objectives, training, development, and overall customer service. Hold the management team accountable for their responsibilities through coaching and constructive feedback.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures by conducting regular employee meetings and store evaluations.
- Conduct performance assessments for all team members at consistent intervals.
- Analyze business trends and implement strategies to maximize sales while achieving or surpassing the sales and profit targets outlined in the Store Margin Statement.
- Manage customer entries in the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Handle incoming phone inquiries.
- Oversee inventory management.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of five years of experience in sales within an auto repair management role or equivalent experience in the automotive sector.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring team members towards success through effective communication and strategic business development.
- Proven capability to create and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual objectives with clearly defined goals.
- Track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales and profit benchmarks.
- Prior experience as an Automotive Technician or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Possession of a valid driver's license or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
- Availability to work a minimum of five days per week, including Saturdays.
