Job Summary

Behavior Change Institute, LLC is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Healthcare Specialist to join our clinical team. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to implement behavioral strategies and improve the quality of life for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement behavioral strategies and interventions in one-on-one settings to improve socially significant behaviors.
  • Collect and record data as prescribed by your supervisor (BCBA) to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with caregivers and support staff to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • 18+ years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Pre-employment professional reference and criminal background check clearance.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Complete CPR or BLS certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Ability to obtain RBT credential through BACB within required timeframe.
  • Minimum of 1 year's experience working with children, adolescents, and/or adults with special needs (preferred, but not required).
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to run, walk, sit, stand (general mobility).
  • Use hands, reach with arms and lift or move up to 50lbs as needed.
  • Vision requirement for close, distance and peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Vocalizations required for verbal behavior training.
  • Full auditory functioning required.
  • Employee may be required to intervene in physically demanding behavioral interventions with physically aggressive clients.
Mandatory Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Training Information

Candidates selected for employment must complete a pre-employment training program (6 weeks) to help them obtain their RBT credential needed to work in this position, unless candidates already have their RBT credential.

The pre-employment training is comprised of:

  • 40 Hour online BACB approved coursework for the RBT credential (4 weeks).
  • 10 Hour attendance of virtual online Skills Clinics (2 weeks).

After hire, you will begin working with a client while you complete your formal skills competency checklist and take your RBT Exam provided at Pearson Professional Testing Center near you.

Behavior Change Institute, LLC is an approved RBT training center.
