Civil Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at the County of DuPage, CO. As a key member of our Stormwater Management Department, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing innovative solutions to manage stormwater runoff and protect our community's water resources.

• Prepare detailed drawings and designs for stormwater projects, including scaled plans and specifications.
• Assist with stormwater modeling efforts to evaluate project feasibility and optimize infrastructure performance.
• Conduct field studies and surveys to gather data for project design and implementation.
• Review and approve stormwater-related plans to ensure compliance with County standards.
• Supervise contractors and ensure projects are constructed to specifications.
• Investigate citizen complaints and recommend solutions to mitigate stormwater-related issues.
• Coordinate with state and local agencies to implement stormwater management projects.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program.
• Valid Illinois Driver's License.
• Engineering in Training (EIT) certification preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
