- Providing career development and placement support to students and alumni.
- Organizing and overseeing student activities.
- Delivering outstanding customer service to students and addressing their inquiries promptly.
- Building and maintaining relationships with employers.
- Keeping precise records and documentation.
Core Responsibilities
Career Development and Placement Support
- Instructing students on resume creation.
- Guiding students in job search techniques and strategies.
- Preparing students for interviews through effective interviewing practices.
- Providing job leads and managing the job bulletin board.
- Informing students about job fairs and local recruitment initiatives.
Coordination of Student Activities
- Facilitating Student Government Associations and various Student Organizations.
- Assisting in the organization of graduation ceremonies.
- Participating in community and civic events.
- Managing the monthly student newsletter and all communications with students.
Customer Service Excellence
- Engaging with students professionally via phone, email, or in-person interactions.
- Addressing student requests for degree shipments, identification cards, and other inquiries related to student services.
Employer Relationship Development
- Offering placement assistance to employers.
- Facilitating resume referrals for employers.
- Managing job orders effectively.
Record Keeping and Documentation
- Overseeing student databases.
- Administering and recording Graduate and Alumni survey forms.
- Maintaining accurate records of graduates.
- Ensuring graduates complete all necessary documentation and fulfill obligations.
Physical Requirements
The role may involve occasional lifting or moving of items up to 25 pounds. The individual may need to stand or sit for extended periods. Specific vision capabilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
This position is situated in a professional office environment with a controlled indoor climate, where the noise level is typically moderate.
