Job Title: Substance Abuse Counselor

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team at Pinnacle Treatment Centers. As a Counselor, you will play a vital role in helping individuals overcome addiction and achieve long-term recovery.

Job Summary:

The Substance Abuse Counselor will provide comprehensive counseling services to patients, including individual and group therapy sessions. You will work closely with patients to identify and address the underlying causes of their addiction, develop personalized treatment plans, and provide ongoing support and guidance throughout their recovery journey.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide counseling services to patients, including individual and group therapy sessions
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop treatment plans
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to patients throughout their recovery journey
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
Requirements:
  • CDCA or higher certification or licensure in Ohio
  • High School/GED or better
  • Preferred: Bachelors or better, LCDC III certification
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Team Player: Works well as a member of a group
  • Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well
