Nurse II-acute Care Specialist

Job Summary:

As a Charge Nurse II-acute Care, you will provide safe, age-appropriate patient care and function as an advisor, resource, and leader for other members of the patient care team at Levindale Hospital's Brain Health Unit.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care and supervise other nurses to ensure high-quality care.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Conduct patient assessments, identify care needs, and develop individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff to promote professional growth and development.

Requirements:

  • Formal working knowledge equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college)
  • Minimum of 1 year in charge/lead/nurse role
  • Knowledge of a specialized field (Med/Surg)
  • Nursing Certification of specialty area within 3-5 years of hire
  • Maryland Registered Nurse License
  • American Heart Association BLS certification
