Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly qualified and passionate English Language Arts teacher to join our team at Camden Prep.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching high school English and a commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
The teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure student success.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure student success and share best practices
- Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching skills and stay current with best practices
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Teacher certification is not a prerequisite for consideration, but must meet NJ state certification eligibility requirements
- Experience working with high school students and a commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Strong background in teaching English Language Arts and a passion for literature and building a love of reading in students
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
