This is a part-time role that includes an on-call rotation. The Registered Nurse (RN) Field Operations Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and facilitating the completion and submission of precise and timely interdisciplinary MDS Assessments, CAAs, and Care Plans in accordance with CMS RAI Manual Regulations and all relevant laws, regulations, and standards upheld by Life Care Centers of America.
Qualifications:- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience, with a preference for geriatric nursing.
- Extensive knowledge in the nursing field.
- Familiarity with the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing operations in post-acute care facilities.
- Ability to implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
- Demonstrated proficiency in all competency areas, including patient rights, safety, and sanitation.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of all proprietary and confidential information.
- Understanding and adherence to company policies, including those related to harassment and compliance.
- Exemplification of integrity and professionalism by following Life Care's Code of Conduct and completing necessary compliance training.
- Coordinate and assist in the accurate and timely completion and submission of interdisciplinary MDS Assessments, CCAs, and Care Plans in line with CMS RAI Manual Regulations.
- Provide educational support to direct care associates regarding updates or changes to the CMS RAI Manual or Skilled Nursing Facility Regulations that affect documentation practices.
- Assist in the review of the Interdisciplinary Comprehensive Care Plan.
- Examine Final Validation Reports to ensure all assessments are completed and accepted into the CMS QIES system prior to billing, and notify the Business Office of any assessments not ready for billing.
- Analyze CMS Reports to identify late submissions and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
- Perform nursing duties as needed.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language.
