About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Mechanic to join our team at General Dynamics Information Technology. As a Forklift Mechanic, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our warehouse equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a large fleet of forklifts and related equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
  • Repair and replace parts as needed, using a variety of tools and equipment
  • Inspect and test equipment to ensure it is in good working condition
  • Document all work performed and maintain accurate records
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a related field, such as forklift maintenance or repair
  • Extensive knowledge of forklift operating systems, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
  • Ability to weld simple parts and operate a forklift, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI w/Poly
