Job Overview

Primma, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Complex Claims Specialist to join our team in Roslyn, NY or Rochester, NY office. This role offers a hybrid schedule after the training period.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the most complex and high-exposure claims, ensuring timely and cost-effective resolution.
  • Conduct thorough coverage verification, claim investigation, reserving, and disposition of significant claims.
  • Oversee all aspects of claim management, including litigation management, trial monitoring, and reporting.
  • Negotiate claim settlements directly or through attorneys within approved settlement authority.
  • Collaborate with defense counsel to develop effective litigation strategies and ensure compliance with prescribed budget and guidelines.
  • Participate in departmental projects and contribute to the development of best practices in claims management.
Requirements
  • Four-year college degree, preferably in a related field.
  • 7-10 years of direct claim handling experience, with a focus on medical professional liability claims management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present to both large and small audiences.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with a high degree of confidentiality.

The actual compensation for this position will be determined by experience and other factors permitted by law.
