Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team at St. Francis Hospital, The Heart Center. As a vital member of our team, you will provide inpatient acute care services to patients with cardiac, orthopedic, neurologic, vascular, pulmonary, and medical-surgical conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide inpatient services to patients with complex medical conditions
  • Educate patients and family members on communication strategies and techniques
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized plans of care
  • Stay up-to-date on hospital, Joint Commission, state, and federal guidelines and regulations

Requirements:

  • MBS (Modified Barium Swallow) certification required
  • NYS SLP license and registration
  • Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • 1-2 years of experience in a hospital setting preferred
