Speech Language Pathologist Preschool Specialist

Abilities First is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in our preschool program. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing speech therapy services to children of all ages, following a school calendar and a six-week summer program.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized speech therapy programs for assigned caseload, including initial evaluations, periodic re-evaluations, and program planning.
- Schedule caseload in conjunction with classroom staff and other related services, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
- Coordinate program between student, counselor/teacher, and case manager, maintaining interdisciplinary communications and reporting at team meetings and annual reviews as needed.
- Provide written documentation as required by Abilities First Inc. policies and programs, adhering to paperwork deadlines, agency forms, and content.
- Attend program staff meetings and parent/teacher conferences as assigned by Directors of various programs.
- Work in conjunction with counselors/teachers to develop student treatment plans, ensuring alignment with program goals and objectives.
- Perform related work as assigned by program Directors, including supervising staff speech pathologists participating in Clinical Fellowship year, if licensed.
- Assist in maintenance of treatment sites and provide departmental/staff in-services when indicated.
- Provide list of needed therapy materials to Program Director and participate in Feeding Team or Augmentative Communication Team when appropriate.
- Ensure that employees follow the Code of Ethical and Legal Behavior and conform to the strictest standards of Corporate Compliance and HIPAA, as well as all federal, state, local, and municipal laws and regulations.
- Adhere to ASHA Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics, Behavior, which require all employees, consultants, board members, volunteers, and affiliates to perform their responsibilities according to ethical and legal standards with honesty, integrity, fairness, good faith, and respect for others and the law.
- Follow all agency policy and procedures and demonstrate continuous regard to personal safety and the safety of others.
- Perform other appropriate job-related activities as requested by your supervisor or circumstances warrant.
- Adhere to State Education rules and regulations. Preschool employees must adhere to Office of Children and Family Services policies.
