Speech Language Pathologist Job Description

Abilities First, a leading provider of support services for individuals with developmental disabilities, is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing speech therapy services to children in our preschool program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized speech therapy plans for assigned caseload
  • Conduct initial evaluations and periodic re-evaluations to assess student progress
  • Collaborate with classroom staff and other related services to schedule and coordinate therapy sessions
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
  • Attend program staff meetings and parent/teacher conferences as assigned
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • NYS licensure as a Speech Pathologist or CFY eligibility
  • NYS teacher certification
  • Experience with oral motor, dysphagia, and augmentative communications
