Position Overview
The Event Services Coordinator plays a crucial role in fulfilling event objectives, ensuring client satisfaction, and achieving financial goals within the hotel environment. This role involves close collaboration with the Director of Catering/Convention Services to guarantee the success of designated venues. The Coordinator is expected to comply with company protocols, observe industry trends, and actively engage with clients and the surrounding community.
Key Responsibilities
- Attain satisfaction ratings from meeting planners, along with revenue and food/beverage targets
- Conduct client site visits, perform outreach calls, and stay updated on industry trends
- Maintain a prominent presence in the local community and engage in promotional activities
- Exhibit strong communication and negotiation abilities
- Ensure timely delivery of banquet event orders and maintain effective communication with various departments
- Participate in mandatory meetings and undertake additional responsibilities as required
- High School diploma or equivalent is necessary; prior experience in event management and catering sales is preferred
- A valid driver's license and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent organizational and presentation skills, with the capability to independently manage multiple tasks
