Starbucks Barista

As a Barista at Dillons, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a safe and clean environment. You will treat customers and employees with fairness and respect, promoting an inclusive work environment and being a responsible member of the community.

• Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products and services.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products and be able to respond to customer inquiries.
• Collaborate with associates to achieve company goals and promote teamwork.
• Prepare beverage selections to recipe and standards, and tender transactions using company best practices.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items and inform them of coffee shop specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products and the correct portion size to prevent shrink.
• Recommend coffee shop items to customers to ensure they get the products they want and need.
• Use all equipment in the coffee shop according to company guidelines and prepare, package, label, and inventory ingredients.
• Check product quality to ensure freshness and review sell by dates.
• Properly use kitchen equipment and report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify store management.
• Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify the appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair.
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents and report all safety risks, issues, or illegal activity to store management.

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Any previous comparable experience is desired.
