At St. Tammany Health System, we are committed to delivering exceptional healthcare services to our community. As a Cardiology Specialist, you will play a vital role in our team, performing various Cardiology procedures, including Echocardiograms, TEE, Holters, Stress echo, and other relevant tasks. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, taking call and reporting to the hospital within 30 minutes. Your flexibility and ability to work under stressful situations will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Cardiology procedures, including Echocardiograms, TEE, Holters, Stress echo, and other relevant tasks.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Take call and report to the hospital within 30 minutes.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and ability to work under stressful situations.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Registered RDCS/RCS or equivalent in echocardiography.
  • Current BLS certification through an ILCOR-approved course.
  • Experience with medical office scheduling.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year adult/pediatric echocardiography experience with Doppler and Color Flow.

Physical Demands:

  • Must possess good physical health.
  • Some requirements include standing, sitting, or walking for long periods, lifting at least 20 pounds, and working with a moderate level of noise.

Physical Effort required:

  • Constant: reaching, hearing, seeing.
  • Frequently: lifting, climbing, balancing, reaching, handling/feeling, talking.
  • Occasionally: pushing/pulling, carrying, stooping, crouching, crawling.
