Echocardiography Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Echocardiography Specialist to join our team at St. Tammany Health System. In this role, you will perform various Cardiology procedures, including Echocardiograms, TEE, Holters, Stress echo, and other relevant tasks.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in echocardiography and be able to work well within a multidisciplinary team. You will be responsible for performing delegated tasks in accordance with departmental policies and needs.
As a Cardiology Technician, you will be required to take call and report to the hospital within 30 minutes. You will work a variety of shifts, including weekdays, weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Echocardiograms, TEE, Holters, Stress echo, and other relevant procedures
- Work well within a multidisciplinary team
- Perform delegated tasks in accordance with departmental policies and needs
- Take call and report to the hospital within 30 minutes
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Registered RDCS/RCS or equivalent
- Current BLS certification through ILCOR
- Experience with medical office scheduling
- Demonstrates flexibility and ability to work under stressful situations
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year adult/pediatric echocardiography with Doppler and Color Flow experience
Physical Demands:
- Must possess good physical health
- Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time
- Lifting at least 20 pounds is required
- Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise
Physical Effort required:
- Constant - reaching, hearing, seeing
- Frequently - lifting, climbing (stairs, ladders, etc.), balancing, reaching, handling/feeling, talking
- Occasionally - pushing/pulling, carrying, stooping, crouching, crawling
