Job Summary:
We are seeking a Cable Development Specialist who will be responsible for determining equipment, tooling, and processes required for manufacturing specialty copper and fiber optic cables. This role involves planning and directing process development, maintaining manufacturing specifications and standards, and troubleshooting production problems across all shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Improvement: Develop and improve overall process-related issues to ensure efficient cable manufacturing.
  • Tool Design and Maintenance: Design and maintain tools and dies to meet production requirements.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve equipment and compound issues affecting production.
  • Experimental Production Coordination: Coordinate assigned experimental production (XP) products to support new product development.
  • Technical Instructions: Develop and maintain technical manufacturing instructions (T.M.'s) and work instructions and procedures.
  • Communication: Communicate critical processing information to manufacturing personnel to ensure seamless production.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Perform Root Cause Analysis studies to identify high-visibility non-conformances and report findings.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should have a BS in Engineering or Engineering Technology and prior experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Process Engineering is preferred but not required. Key skills include ability to communicate effectively, lift 25#, distinguish colors, and have above-average computer skills.

Estimated Salary:
$85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on location and industry standards.
