Job Overview

Midwest Manufacturing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Plant Manager to join our team. This role will assist the Plant Manager in overseeing all operations of our production facility, ensuring efficient production, maintaining facility upkeep, and promoting a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production: Optimize production processes to meet customer demands, set and evaluate production quotas, and ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Facility Maintenance and Utilization: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, utilize equipment to capacity, and ensure all facilities are in good repair.
  • Safety: Enforce safety policies, provide regular training, and ensure all equipment is properly maintained and guarded.
  • Merchandise and Inventory: Collaborate with the Merchandise Manager and Buyer to acquire floor space and advertising, and maintain accurate price catalogs.
  • Training and Development: Guide Manager Trainees, provide feedback on strengths and weaknesses, and ensure they feel comfortable and knowledgeable in their surroundings.
Requirements
  • Minimum two years of experience with Midwest Manufacturing or equivalent experience and/or training.
  • Minimum one year of supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of modern sales and management methods and techniques.
  • Able to write and speak clearly and accurately.
  • Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Able to tactfully deal with guests and Team Members.
  • Strong knowledge of the construction industry.
