Job Summary

Fairbanks Scales Inc. is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. As a Welder, you will be responsible for fitting and welding steel structures in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fitting and welding steel structures in a manufacturing environment
  • Working independently to complete tasks efficiently
  • Maintaining a high level of situational awareness in a fast-paced environment
  • Wearing personal protective equipment at all times
  • Performing quality checks and troubleshooting weld quality issues
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2-5 years of industrial structural steel welding and fitting experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Appropriate skill and knowledge to fit up, tack, and weld structural steel assemblies
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations and accurately take measurements
  • Ability to safely operate right-angle and die grinders, acetylene torches, and other equipment
