About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for operating advanced nuclear medicine equipment, ensuring patient safety and quality care, and collaborating with other professionals to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate nuclear medicine equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes
  • Develop and implement effective scan techniques and positions for patients
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and practices to prevent patient harm
  • Coordinate quality control activities to maintain optimal image quality
  • Provide instruction and orientation to new technologists to support their professional development
  • Participate in problem-solving and quality assurance initiatives to improve department operations and patient care
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited AMA School of Nuclear Medicine
  • Knowledge of HIS and RIS systems
  • IEMA accreditation in Medical Radiation Technology
  • ARRT and CNMT certification in nuclear medicine
  • CPR certification within 30 days of hire
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work rotating shifts, make independent professional decisions, and function with minimal assistance. You must be able to lift and move patients, work in a fast-paced environment, and be exposed to hazardous materials and life-threatening diseases.

This position requires the ability to recognize and respond to the needs of patients across various age groups, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and older adult populations.
