Job Title: Music Director

Seeking a highly qualified Music Director to lead our vocal ensembles and teach music-related courses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in choral conducting, music theory, and music history.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach vocal-related ensembles, including the University Concert Choir and chamber vocal groups
  • Develop and implement music curricula for music education majors
  • Recruit and maintain a successful choral program
  • Collaborate with the School of Education and clinical supervisor to ensure music education majors are prepared for licensure requirements
Requirements:
  • Doctorate in Music (D.M.A. or Ph.D.)
  • Experience teaching in higher education
  • Demonstrated success in recruitment and fundraising
  • Knowledge and experience teaching diverse choral literature
